The theory and disciplinary insights from a number of areas that are relevant to the advanced understanding of organizations, including industrial and organizational psychology, international relations, leadership, environmental sciences, sociology, law, management, and economics.
Students will be required to take coursework in these areas during their initial years of study. The program also develops advanced academic writing skills via a dedicated course and other resources. Students also gain a strong core of knowledge in quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods of research.
Mr. Samuel (Sam) Shepherd has displayed over twelve years of experience, education, and knowledge in studying, researching, and Practical demonstration of Theory in the topics of: 1) leadership, 2) non-profit management, and 3) Human Trafficking. Other areas of study include: graduate-level courses in a) Servant Leadership, b) International Business, c) Legal Issues in Business, d) Operational Management, e) Supply Chain Management Principles, f) Communication for Managers, g) Managerial Accounting, and h) Managerial Economics. This includes coursework of four Associate in Arts degrees, one Bachelor’s degree (GPA 3.37), one Master’s degree (GPA 3.50), and multiple graduate-level courses. Mr. Shepherd has completed education and study of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods of research.
Mr. Shepherd was diagnosed with Dysgraphia in sixth grade. “People with Dysgraphia may have difficulty putting their thoughts into writing due to issues with vocabulary, spelling, grammar, memory, and critical thinking.” With this in mind, Mr. Shepherd completed nine courses in English (writing), including Journalism. Completed two years writing for the university’s newspaper, Campus Chronicles, and four books on writing and scripting for business. Recently, suffering from a stroke in 2023. Mr. Shepherd now suffers from Dysarthria as well as dysgraphia, currently labeled as ‘Disabled’.
Mr. Shepherd has both military and civilian knowledge in logistics, project management, and Six Sigma. Gaining data in Microsoft (Excel, SharePoint, Access, and Power BI) and other technologies (Tableau, database management, website design, in addition to Networking) and emergency services (EMT, Rescuer, Combat Lifesaver, and CRP instructor). This includes education in leadership development, sociology, economics (with a focus on statistics), and environmental sciences. Through the military, Mr. Shepherd has received education in environmental sciences in the United States (North Carolina and Georgia), South Korea, Panama, and Albania. All training and education are related to the organization and unify areas managed by Mr. Shepherd.
Military expertise includes 13 different types of letters for accommodation or achievements, eleven individual medals, three ribbons, four unit awards, and five badges. This comprises four worldwide deployments, seven special assignments, and nine schools. Earning the rank of Sergeant (E-5) promoted to positions normally held by a Staff Sergeant (E-6), and later a position for Section Leader (E-7).
